Timezone Is Now Open at Robinsons Dumaguete

Timezone is now open at Robinsons Dumaguete. The arcade chain's newest Visayas branch sits on the mall's third level, in the new wing, and it goes well past rows of claw machines. The space covers about 812 square metres with more than 60 games and attractions, including virtual reality, karaoke, billiards and bowling.

For a city where evening plans have long meant the boulevard, a café or a movie, that is a real addition. Families get a rainy-day option, students get somewhere to go after class, and anyone staying in town has one more thing to do once the sun goes down.

Here is what is inside, when it is open, how the card system works and a few tips before your first visit.

Where to Find It and Opening Hours

Timezone sits on Level 3 of Robinsons Dumaguete in Calindagan, along the south road out of the city centre. It is in the expansion that the mall opened on 28 September 2026, which added four floors and brought in a batch of new tenants. If you have not been to the mall since then, head for the new wing and go up.

Opening hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., every day of the week. That late close is useful in a city where much of the nightlife winds down early, though it is worth checking whether the mall entrance you plan to use stays open as late, especially on weeknights.

What Is Inside

The arcade and prize games

Most of the floor is a classic redemption arcade: claw machines, basketball shooters, target games, racing cabinets and the ticket-pumping machines that feed the prize counter. Timezone calls its prize area the Winner's Vault, and it is the part younger kids tend to make a beeline for. A photo booth near the games makes an easy souvenir of a birthday or barkada night out.

Virtual reality

The VR games run in short sessions, and staff are on hand to help with headsets. Height and age limits apply on some machines, so check the signs before buying a turn for a small child.

Karaoke, billiards and bowling

These are what set this branch apart from a simple game zone. Karaoke suits groups, and billiards gives older visitors something to do while the kids play. Bowling is also on the venue's list of attractions, which is unusual for a mall arcade in this part of Negros. Lanes and tables can fill up on weekends, so if one of these is the main reason for your visit, ask at the counter how they are booked and what the rates are before you settle in.

How Paying Works

Timezone does not use coins or tokens. You buy a Powercard, load it with credit at the counter or kiosk, and tap it on each machine. Games that award tickets add them to the same card as Powertickets, which you trade for prizes at the Winner's Vault. Keep your card, since the balance and tickets stay on it for the next visit.

The opening promo, ₱500 of credit plus 150 tickets for ₱300, ended on 15 October 2026. Regular load packages and bonus deals change often, so look at the price board before loading, and compare a few amounts. Larger loads often come with more bonus credit, which matters if you are paying for a whole family.

The Opening

The branch held its grand opening celebration this month, with Timezone Philippines president and general manager Raffy Prats Jr. calling the venue a homecoming and describing Dumaguete as a city built around family. Brand ambassador Myrtle Sarrosa, the actress and cosplayer, performed at the launch.

Timezone is one of several names that arrived with the mall's new wing, alongside Toys R Us, Sports Direct, National Book Store and Dairy Queen. The Robinsons Dumaguete expansion story covers the rest of the new tenants and what changed in the mall.

Tips for a First Visit

Go on a weekday afternoon if you can. Weekends and school holidays bring the biggest crowds, and the popular machines, VR and karaoke get queues. A weekday after lunch is usually calmer.

Set a budget before loading. It is easy to keep topping up a card. Decide on an amount per person, load once, and treat the prize counter as a bonus rather than the goal.

Plan parties ahead. The branch takes party bookings through Timezone's party hotline. If you want a birthday with a reserved area or a bowling lane, book well before the date.

Pair it with dinner. The new wing added more restaurants, and the late closing time means you can eat first and play afterward. A taxi or tricycle back to the city centre is a short ride.

Worth the Trip?

For locals, yes, especially families and groups looking for more to do after dark. For visitors, it is not a reason to come to Dumaguete, but it is a handy fallback on a wet afternoon or a free evening. If you are planning a longer stay, our look at how Dumaguete is changing in 2026 puts the new mall and its tenants in the wider picture of a city that is growing fast.
