White Sand Beach of Sipalay

In Negros Oriental, there's not much great beaches choose from. Unlike the neighboring island of Cebu, where great beaches are everywhere. But if you want to experience the best white sand beach, you have to go to Sipalay. It's a 3-4 hour drive from Dumaguete city, but it's worth it. It's a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. There are also a lot of activities to do in Sipalay, such as snorkeling, diving, and island hopping.

Last April, we had a chance to complete a loop around Negros Island. Starting from Tanjay → Santa Catalina → Bayawan City → Sipalay. We stayed for 1 night in Sipalay, then head north to Bacolod City (stayed 1 night there), then passed by the popular Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) on our way back home. For a total of about 500 km.

2. Seafood restaurants. I don't know what they call those area where restaurant lined up along the mangrove swamp, but it's incredibly a great place to start. They have a variety of seafood options that your family will love.

3. Tinagong Dagat. This place is just a few minutes drive from the public beach. It's a hidden lagoon surrounded by limestone cliffs.

4. Perth Paradise Resort. The view from this resort is extraordinary. I think sunsets and sunrises are great here. But for me, the road going there is an extra challenge. We drove there in a car and full in the backseat. When get got in the rough road, there are large rocks hitting the bottom of our car. I need everyone to get out of the car and walk for a few meters. But it's worth it though. The view is so beautiful.

5. Island Hopping. We haven't tried it when we were there, but it's a great activity to choose from. There are a lot of islands to visit in Sipalay. I'm sure you'll love exploring this place.
